Coronado Beach

One of San Diego’s most popular Beach areas is Coronado Municipal Beach. Coronado is actually made up of four different beach areas: Glorietta Bay Park, Coronado City Beach, Tidelands Park, and Centennial Park. Coronado Beach is perfect for families and for those seeking to just relax. Come and fly a kite, walk your dog, and visit the world famous Hotel del Coronado. For more than a hundred years celebrities and royalty come here to enjoy the great food and the views.

The Strand

The Strand is a two mile long stretch of Beach that sits between Mission Beach and La Jolla, California. Located in Northern San Diego County, the Strand is ideal the long walks on the beach. It is a magnet for families and has become famous for scuba diving. Along the beach you will find many bars and restaurants and a small Beach town it has a great night life. You can also walk along the Crystal Pier which is a 3 mile-long Boardwalk. The Strand is a great place to visit both day and night.

Cardiff-by-the-Sea

Just north of San Diego, is the romantic Cardiff-by-the Sea. This small community consists of the 900 acre Elijo Lagoon and 2 miles of gorgeous beach. For surfers, Cardiff by the Sea has Cardiff Reef which attracts Surfers from all around California want to ride bigger waves. The area also boasts San Elijo Park which is a perfect campground with more than 150 campsites outfitted to accommodate any type of RV. He’s also great food in the area at Restaurant Row.

Del Mar City Beach

Del Mar is one of Northern San Diego County’s most popular cities. It has a beautiful beach that is perfect for family group getaways.  Del Mar also has two beautiful parks that overlook the beach. They both play host to many weddings and other events throughout the year. There are also many hiking trails that run along the beach providing a beautiful scenery as you exercise. The beach area also has many caves and inlets that are perfect for exploring and taking pictures. Del Mar also has a race track that host top race horses and fans from around the country.

Solana Beach

Solana Beach is one of Northern San Diego County’s most famous beach cities because of its many beautiful hidden coves and the great surfing that can be had here. Although there are several places to visit on the sand in Solano Beach. The two most popular to visit for surfing are Del Mar Shores and seaside.  There’s also an area called Tide Beach which has beautiful white sand and is a favorite for tourists and locals. Beaches don’t have a lot of amenities, but they are great places to visit in a group.
